The twins I had when I was 19 and their brother was 3 then. They were always close from birth till today. They were like all little girls they loved barbies and dress up. They did everything together from friends to boys. Then at 12 things started to change for Stephanie she went into menopause yes you heard me right. Like any teenage girl it seemed like no big deal to her. As time went by she noticed she was a little different. But time went on and her visits to UAB slowed down and she and Melanie had life like all their friends boys, dating, proms and loving every minute of it. Then Melanie got engaged and right after so did Stephanie at 18 so we were planning weddings and graduation all at the same time. So Melanie decided to go first so she was married in January and they both graduated in May and Stephanie married in June. It all seemed so fast. Then Melanie had her first daughter in July and the twins were so excited but Stephanie felt a little left behind for they had done everything together and now they could not share motherhood. But then 2 years later Melanie had her second daughter and Stephanie wanted one so badly he was very hard for her even though she was happy for Melanie. So Stephanie began her Journey. She went to her Dr. and she began with invitro. but while waiting Melanie got pregnant with daughter number 3 so Stephanie had to wait. Then it was time and it was done and took all their saving but after 2 lost pregnancies she did not want to go through the heartache again and could not afford to it was just to much. So now she began her search on the Internet where she found a world renowned Dr. and she contacted him and he was very excited he said he had waited 27 years for that phone call. So the trip to St. Louis was set and he wanted to try the 1st ever ovary transplant in humans. So now the twins would share more than looks they would share a organ from their body. So the surgery was set and plans made and we were all excited that this possibly might work. The great Dr. who did this was Dr. Sherman Silber and he was wonderful with my girls. He was not sure it would work and told them so. But the surgery was done and the next morning every talk show on TV was at the hospital it was a media circus. So now we had to wait to see if she would ovulate and after 4 months she had her 1st cycle since 12. then it was right after she got pregnant once again media was wild and in June AnnaGrace was born called the miracle baby. So the girls made history and was on talk shows and the Montel Williams show and did so many interviews and would you believe not 1 dime for all the news they got off them. Oprah called them then backed out of doing the show. It just amazes me that a person who did nothing special will receive 11 million dollars for the babies pictures and my daughters made medical history and did not even get a new baby gift or dime for anything they did here in the USA. I have to give credit to a Magazine in London who paid them 1500. for and interview. They were also in Redbook magazine . Tell me the justice in this. My girls struggle to make ends meet for their families and are fantastic mothers and don't even get a new dress for their girls or the miracle baby but someone who needs no money gets 11 million for a picture. I want to hear how anyone else feels about this. If you want to look my girls up on the net to read the story just type in their names Stephanie Yarber or Melanie Morgan.
